Malkara Specialist School, ACT

Malkara Specialist School are excited to have developed a relationship with Canberra Grammar School (CGS) and Dream Cricket to deliver the Dream Cricket program once a term during the 2023 school year. So far, we have completed two sessions. Malkara students have enjoyed, bowling, batting, catching and playing modified games of cricket. We have received great support form the CGS students who have been fantastic mentors for our primary school students. Malkara School highly recommends the Dream Cricket program to any school as it caters for students with all abilities. 

I loved how engaged the students were as I was watching. They were having so much fun. Some students demonstrated great cricket and ball/bat skills that I have never seen before. Thanks so much for providing our students with this amazing opportunity.

I would like to thank everyone involved in Dream Cricket, it was an amazing opportunity for everyone to learn cricket skills together. Students in my class have some great cricket skills which the students were able to support and develop. To see the positive interactions was so much fun. My students were also encouraged to try other skills, to have a go. I also saw how Dream Cricket students worked with Malkara staff and students to bring out the best in each student and grow their life and career skills. I would love to see Dream Cricket continue.

The dream cricket visiting adult and students were delightful. They were enthusiastic and patient with the Malkara students and even though they made helpful suggestions, they followed the Malkara students’ desires of how they wanted to do the cricket activities and play with the equipment. Altogether it was a fun session for everyone.
