Currimundi Special School

I organised Dream Cricket for Pine Rivers Special School before moving to Currimundi Special School. Following the great feedback from staff at Pine Rivers, I got in touch with George to organise a session at Currimundi. George responded promptly, and 7 days later he and his amazing volunteers were engaging our students in cricket. I can't speak highly enough of the invaluable experience our students experienced during the Dream Cricket incursion. Both staff and students were asking me when the team would be back, and so we are in touch to organise another experience for more students to access. 

Staff were impressed at the knowledge the team possessed and their ability to adapt the game to meet the needs of our individual students. It was wonderful to witness our students’ confidence increase throughout the session. George and his team at Dream Cricket have had a huge impact at Currimundi Special School and we could not recommend them highly enough!

This was the second time George from Dream Cricket visited Currimundi Special School. The students and staff were super excited about his return. On his arrival he presented a cricket kit to the students which he sourced from the Rotary Sunrise of Canberra who kindly donated it to us. It is amazing to be able to follow George's lead and to continue teaching our students cricket skills. George is so relational and engaging and our students and staff gravitate to him. Again, this was a wonderful experience and has ignited an interest in some students which was not there before. We cannot thank you enough for the opportunity provided. We will absolutely be inviting Dream Cricket back to CSS!
