Revitalised and Ready

Putting relationships front and centre of all Dream Cricket activity.

DreamCricket was initiated by Dr Roly Bigg of the Movement Disorder Foundation in concert with the Rotary Clubs of the Southern Highlands and the Bradman Foundation. The DreamCricket program engages its participants through modified and adaptive cricket-themed activities. It has grown to encompass schools and children throughout Australia and internationally, with special focus on Schools for Specific Purposes or disadvantaged schools.

Recognising the power of connection, a revitalised DreamCricket Australia hopes to continue to facilitate high school mentorship on the day of activities (utilising older students from the same school or supportive nearby high schools). My 5th QLD trip has been divided into three phases due to the popularity of DreamCricket!

Just back from the 2nd phase with a lot of visits to Sony Camps. Hats off (and then promptly back on for SunSmart reasons) to Churchie, Toowoomba Grammar and Marist Ashgrove for incorporating DreamCricket into their exciting and relationship-building programs. It's been an honour to see them humming.

Big thanks to the staff & students from DreamCricket-loving Currimundi Special School on QLD's Sunshine Coast for welcoming me back for 7 clinics.

Awesome to be able to present a donated kit from Rotary Sunrise in Canberra. When I come for the hat-trick visit I can't image how good the students' skills will be!

Shout out to Minimbah Aboriginal School in Armidale and Tingha Public School for some great Dream Cricket clinics this week. Appreciate Canberra Grammar School for joining in at Minimbah, and volunteers Anna and Jesse at both. Dream Cricket can really warm up the body and hearts in the winter months.

Time for you to have a ball

And play some games that will enthral

Don’t worry if you’ve never played

Those who arrive have always stayed

From Rocky up north to the Yorke down south

The joy’s been spread by word of mouth

With sticky wickies, and bats and bails

At Dream Cricket nobody ever fails

Dream Cricket

We’ll bring it to your wicket

And the good times will be had

We’ll capture hearts

We’ll nurture dreams

It’s all about building yourself and teams

It really is the ticket

Everybody gets to shine

Inclusive fun

For everyone

You’ll have a winning time
